Garlic vs. germs: can a common spice protect ICU patients from hospital infections?

NCT ID NCT06833125

Summary

This study is testing whether taking garlic tablets can prevent infections that patients sometimes catch while staying in a hospital intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers will compare infection rates in about 62 adult ICU patients who receive garlic tablets versus those who do not. The goal is to see if this simple, natural approach can help keep vulnerable patients safer during their hospital stay.
