Can playing games get you to walk 10,000 steps?
NCT ID NCT06818071
Summary
This study tested whether adding game-like elements to daily life could help university students walk more. 255 students were split into groups that used different combinations of features like points, leaderboards, team challenges, or a step-counting mobile game. Researchers measured if these 'gamified' approaches increased daily steps and improved health markers like weight, sleep, and mood over 12 weeks.
