This study tested a video game called Mightier that helps children ages 8-12 with emotional outbursts learn to calm themselves using heart rate biofeedback. 183 kids were randomly assigned to play the game or receive usual care for 6 months. Researchers measured changes in aggression, irritability, and how much families spent on behavioral healthcare over a year.
