Can a phone game get people moving to fight high blood pressure?
NCT ID NCT05671406
Summary
This study is testing if a specially designed mobile game can motivate Native American adults with high blood pressure to be more physically active. Half of the 220 participants will use the game, which rewards them for steps tracked by a sensor, while the other half will just use the activity tracker. Researchers will check if the game leads to more daily steps, better blood pressure control, and improved knowledge and confidence in managing their health over 6 months.
