New scalpel technique aims to make gallbladder surgery quicker and safer
NCT ID NCT07473388
Summary
This study tested two different ways to perform a common surgery to remove the gallbladder. It compared the standard method, which uses metal clips, to a newer 'clipless' method that uses a special scalpel to seal blood vessels. The goal was to see if the newer method shortens surgery time, reduces bleeding, and helps patients recover faster.
