NCT ID NCT07453186
First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study compares two types of ultrasound to check for gallstones in 130 adults scheduled for weight-loss surgery. Standard ultrasound is done on the outside of the belly, while laparoscopic ultrasound is done inside during surgery. The goal is to see which method finds more gallstones and other gallbladder issues, so doctors can better decide who needs preventive treatment and reduce the chance of a second surgery.
