New imaging techniques aim to make tricky gallbladder surgery safer
NCT ID NCT07400237
Summary
This study compares two imaging methods that help surgeons see bile ducts more clearly during difficult gallbladder removal surgeries. Surgeons will use both ultrasound and a fluorescent dye technique during the same operation to see which works better. The goal is to reduce the risk of accidentally damaging bile ducts, which can lead to serious complications.
