Surgery safety boost? new study tests 90% less dye to map bile ducts
NCT ID NCT07195331
Summary
This study aims to make a common gallbladder surgery safer by improving how surgeons see the bile ducts. It will compare two different doses of a safe, fluorescent dye that lights up the ducts during surgery. The goal is to see if a much smaller, more convenient dose works just as well as the standard dose to help prevent accidental damage to these delicate structures.
