Could your gallbladder put you at higher risk after a common procedure?
NCT ID NCT04242394
Summary
This study aimed to find out if having a chronic gallbladder condition increases a patient's chance of developing new gallstones after a procedure called ERCP, which is used to remove stones from the bile duct. Researchers followed over 1,000 patients who still had their gallbladder and underwent ERCP at four centers in China. The goal was to identify which patients are at higher risk so doctors can better monitor and care for them.
