Walking backwards to move forward: new hope for kids with cerebral palsy

NCT ID NCT07251751

Summary

This study tests whether forward or backward walking training works better to improve movement and balance in children with spastic cerebral palsy. Sixty children aged 6-9 will receive physical therapy plus either forward or backward treadmill training for three months. Researchers will measure changes in walking ability, muscle strength, and overall motor function to see which approach helps more.
