Scientists investigate how arm swelling alters walking in breast cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT07011277

Summary

This study aimed to understand how arm swelling (lymphedema) after breast cancer treatment affects a person's walking. Researchers compared the walking patterns of 40 women who had this swelling with healthy women. They measured things like step length, walking speed, and pelvic movement to see if the extra weight and posture changes from the swollen arm impact how they walk.
