Can your walk predict a broken bone? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07400198
Summary
This study aims to understand if specific walking patterns, measured with special shoe insoles, can serve as early warning signs for bone weakness and fracture risk in people with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) who can walk. It involves 22 participants aged 8-50 and is observational, meaning it collects data but does not test a treatment. The goal is to find better ways to monitor bone health and prevent serious fractures in this community.
