First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a smartphone app called GAINS that guides caregivers through teaching life skills to children with autism, similar to how a GPS gives driving directions. The app breaks down complex tasks into simple steps and provides real-time audio and visual prompts. Researchers will measure how many steps children can do on their own without help. The study involves 24 children aged 3 to 10 with autism.
