New study to reveal hidden heart risks of hormone therapy in transgender people

Summary
This observational study will follow 94 transgender individuals (ages 16+) starting gender-affirming hormone therapy to see how it impacts their heart health, metabolism, and mood. Researchers will measure inflammation, blood vessel function, and emotional well-being at the start, 6 months, and 12 months. The goal is to improve healthcare tailored to transgender people.
