Brain drug tested at home for genetic condition

NCT ID NCT06334419

Summary

This study tested a single dose of an experimental drug called gaboxadol in 10 adult men with Fragile X Syndrome, a genetic condition that causes intellectual disability. The main goal was to see how the drug affects brain wave patterns measured by a special cap (EEG). Researchers also wanted to find out if they could reliably conduct parts of the study, like brain recordings and eye-tracking tests, in participants' homes instead of just in a clinic.
