First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This pilot study looked at how the forces of acceleration and deceleration in a moving ambulance affect the vital signs of critically ill children. Nine children with arterial lines were monitored during transport to see if G-forces changed their heart rate, blood pressure, or oxygen levels. The study also checked if these forces disrupted the delivery of life-saving medications through syringe drivers.
