Can a new pill slow kidney damage in IgA nephropathy?

NCT ID NCT07750665

First seen Aug 06, 2026 · Last updated Aug 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental drug called FXS6837 can safely reduce protein in the urine and help preserve kidney function in people with IgA nephropathy, a disease that can lead to kidney failure. About 60 patients who previously completed a shorter study of FXS6837 will take the capsule daily for two years. Researchers will monitor side effects and measure changes in urine protein levels to see if the drug continues to work over the long term.
