Summary
This early-stage study tested whether a special MRI scan (using xenon gas) can create a map of working lung areas to guide radiation away from healthy tissue. The goal was to reduce lung damage and improve quality of life for people with non-small cell lung cancer. Only 9 patients were enrolled before the study ended, so results are limited.
