Summary

This study tested a new type of cochlear implant that is completely implanted under the skin, with no external parts. It involved 30 adults with significant hearing loss to see if the device could improve their ability to understand speech compared to before surgery. Researchers also measured changes in participants' quality of life and sound perception.
