First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests a new acupuncture method called Fu's Subcutaneous Needling (FSN) against standard care (ankle brace plus resistance exercises) for recent ankle sprains. The goal is to see which approach better reduces pain, improves function, and prevents long-term ankle instability. Sixty-two adults with a first-time lateral ankle sprain will be randomly assigned to one of two groups and followed for 6 months.
