New hope for frozen shoulder? guided treatment aims to thaw pain in elderly
NCT ID NCT07088562
Summary
This study tested a procedure to reduce pain and improve shoulder movement in elderly patients with 'frozen shoulder,' a condition that causes stiffness and pain. Doctors used ultrasound to guide a special, low-heat energy treatment to a nerve in the shoulder. They looked back at the records of 32 patients over 65 to see if their pain and ability to use their shoulder improved after the treatment.
