New combo therapy could unfreeze stiff shoulders

NCT ID NCT07356947

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding two special hands-on techniques (Mulligan and scapular mobilization) to standard physical therapy can better improve shoulder movement and reduce pain in people with frozen shoulder. About 38 adults aged 30 to 60 with a frozen shoulder will be split into two groups: one gets the new combo therapy, the other gets standard care (heat, ultrasound, stretching). Treatment happens three times a week for four weeks, and researchers will measure changes in motion, pain, and shoulder function.
