Numbing shot before shoulder procedure may ease pain and speed recovery
NCT ID NCT07380087
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving a nerve block (a numbing injection) before a standard frozen shoulder treatment called hydrodistension can reduce pain during the procedure and improve recovery. About 50 adults with frozen shoulder will be randomly assigned to receive either hydrodistension alone or a nerve block followed by hydrodistension. Researchers will measure pain, shoulder movement, and quality of life over 3 months to see if the nerve block makes the treatment more comfortable and effective.
