First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested a treatment called pulsed radiofrequency for frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) in 32 patients aged 65 and older. The treatment uses ultrasound guidance to deliver gentle electrical pulses to a nerve in the shoulder, aiming to reduce pain and improve movement without damaging the nerve. Results showed improvements in pain scores and shoulder function, offering a potential option for elderly patients who may not tolerate more invasive procedures.
