Summary

This study looks at people who have had repeated, mild episodes of diverticulitis (inflammation of pouches in the colon). It compares those who have surgery to remove the affected part of the colon with those who manage the condition without surgery. The goal is to see which approach leads to better bowel function and quality of life. About 252 adults will be followed to help doctors create clearer treatment guidelines.
