Scientists map normal speech patterns in french children

NCT ID NCT04934306

Summary

This study aimed to create reference measurements for normal speech patterns in French-speaking children aged 8-10. Researchers used a non-invasive device called a Nasometer to measure how much sound comes through the nose during speech. These reference measurements will help doctors better identify speech problems in children with conditions like cleft palate, providing a less invasive alternative to current assessment methods.
