First seen Jan 13, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether letting children aged 4-10 play freely for 30 minutes before surgery can lower their fear and anxiety, and also reduce their parents' worry. About 70 children and their parents will take part, with half playing and half receiving usual care. The goal is to see if a simple, fun activity can make the hospital experience less stressful.
