First seen Jan 13, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether letting children aged 4-10 play freely for 30 minutes before surgery can lower their fear and anxiety, and also reduce their parents' worry. Half of the 70 children will play, and the other half will receive standard care. Researchers will measure fear and anxiety levels before and after the play session to see if it helps.
