New brain stent aims to seal off dangerous bulges
NCT ID NCT05409989
Summary
This study is comparing a newer version of a brain stent (called FRED X) to an older version. The goal is to see if the new device is just as safe and effective at sealing off a bulge in a brain artery (an aneurysm) to prevent it from rupturing. It will follow 154 people with a specific type of brain aneurysm for up to 5 years after their procedure.
