Wire-Free heart scan could prevent unnecessary stents in heart attack patients
NCT ID NCT07598565
First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a new, wire-free imaging method called μFR can help doctors decide which blocked arteries truly need stents in people who have had a heart attack and have multiple blockages. About 350 participants will be randomly assigned to standard care (stenting all visible blockages) or μFR-guided care (stenting only if the test shows a significant blockage). The goal is to see if using μFR reduces the number of stents and procedures without increasing the risk of major heart problems.
