First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks for the best dose of fospropofol, a sedative, to keep elderly patients (65 and older) comfortably sleepy during leg surgery done with spinal anesthesia. About 60 people having hip or knee replacement or fracture repair will take part. The goal is to find a dose that works for 95% of patients, helping doctors use just enough medicine to ease anxiety and pain without causing problems.
