New heart lead registry aims to simplify pacing and reduce complications
NCT ID NCT07406737
First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study will enroll 200 adults who need a special type of pacemaker (cardiac resynchronization therapy) to help their heart beat in sync. Doctors will try using a new, thinner defibrillator lead that can pace a key area of the heart's left side. The goal is to see if this single lead can do the job of multiple leads, which might lower risks and simplify the procedure.
