First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether spending mindful time in nature (called forest therapy or Shinrin-Yoku) can reduce stress and boost well-being in highly sensitive people. 131 adults who identified as highly sensitive took part in weekly guided forest sessions for 8 weeks. Researchers measured changes in perceived stress, emotional health, and sleep quality to see if this gentle, drug-free approach could help ease everyday tension.
