Nature's prescription: can forest walks calm the overwhelmed mind?
NCT ID NCT07368231
Summary
This study tested whether a 22-week program combining guided forest walks and mindfulness practices could reduce stress and improve well-being in adults who are highly sensitive to their environment. 310 participants were randomly assigned to either the outdoor forest program or a similar indoor activity group for comparison. The main goal was to see if spending structured time in nature was more helpful for managing stress than indoor activities with the same social support.
