Blanket trial seeks to warm the dangerously cold before hospital

NCT ID NCT07450092

Summary

This small pilot study is checking if a forced air warming blanket is a practical and safe way to start rewarming people with accidental hypothermia during ambulance transport. Researchers will cool down a few healthy volunteers in a controlled setting, stop their natural shivering with medication, and then use the blanket to see how well it raises their body temperature. The main goal is to see if this method is feasible to study outside a hospital for future research.
