First seen Jun 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looked at how two different training methods—short, intense sprints (SIT) and small-sided football games (SSG)—affect the heart and lung fitness of teenage football players. Twenty-four male players aged 16-17 were split into three groups and trained for 8 weeks. The goal was to see which method improved their body's ability to use oxygen during exercise, but the study did not test any treatment or cure for a disease.
