Can stronger toes stop falls? new study tests simple foot exercises
NCT ID NCT07384754
Summary
This study is testing whether different foot-strengthening methods can help middle-aged and older adults improve their balance, walking, and reduce their risk of falling. Researchers will compare using minimalist shoes, a foot exercise program, a foot-strengthening device called ToePro, and no intervention over eight weeks. They will measure changes in foot strength, balance, and walking ability in 160 participants aged 45-85.
