New rehab machine may boost foot strength after botox for stroke survivors

Summary
This study tests a new rehabilitation protocol for people with spastic foot drop after a brain injury. Participants will receive botox injections and then either standard rehab or a special machine-based program that first tires the calf muscles and then strengthens the foot lifters. The goal is to see which approach better improves foot lift strength and walking. The study plans to enroll 30 adults with spastic hemiplegia.
