Can grocery cards keep kids out of the hospital?

NCT ID NCT06560229

Summary

This study is testing if providing monthly grocery gift cards to low-income families for one year helps after a child is discharged from the hospital. Researchers want to see if this support reduces families' struggles to afford food and lowers the child's need for unplanned return visits to the emergency room or hospital. About 400 families with specific Medicaid insurance will answer surveys and some will receive the gift cards to measure the impact.
