First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether providing medically tailored meals or produce prescriptions can improve diet and blood sugar control in children aged 5-12 with type 1 diabetes who also face food insecurity. Twelve families will receive 6 weeks of either prepared meals or fresh produce, plus nutrition coaching. The goal is to see if these food-based interventions are feasible and help manage diabetes better.
