Scientists test if breakfast changes how your body handles a new pill

NCT ID NCT07099989

Summary

This early-stage study aims to understand how eating a meal affects how the body absorbs an experimental drug called Zelquistinel. Healthy adult volunteers will take single doses of the drug, sometimes on an empty stomach and sometimes after a high-fat meal. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood and spinal fluid to see if food changes how much of the drug gets into the body and brain.
