Scientists test if meals change how body handles new mental health pill

NCT ID NCT07292233

Summary

This early-stage study aims to understand how eating food affects the way the body absorbs and processes a new extended-release medication (LY03020) being developed for schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease psychosis. It involves 16 healthy adult volunteers who will take a single dose of the drug under two different conditions: with food and without food. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood and monitor for side effects to see if taking the pill with a meal makes a difference.
