First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at 52 children born with a single heart chamber (univentricular heart) who need a series of surgeries ending with the Fontan procedure. Researchers want to see if having too little or too much blood flow to the lungs before surgery leads to different outcomes after surgery. They will track survival, complications, heart function, and quality of life for about 1.5 years after the Fontan procedure.
