First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tested a new system that uses electrical pulses to treat a common heart rhythm problem called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AFib). The goal was to see if the procedure is safe and can stop AFib from coming back for at least 6 months. The study involved 150 adults with symptoms of AFib who were already planning to have a catheter ablation procedure.
