New study: could a quick, Needle-Free radiation shot keep prostate cancer in check?
NCT ID NCT07152067
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study compares a highly focused radiation treatment (stereotactic radiotherapy) to the standard approach of active surveillance (watchful waiting) for men with low-to-intermediate risk prostate cancer. The goal is to see if the radiation can reduce the number of men who later need more aggressive treatments like surgery or full-gland radiation. About 146 men will take part, and the study is not yet recruiting.
