First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study looks at how foamy viruses, which are common in monkeys and apes, might spread to people in rural Cameroon. Researchers will test hunters and villagers for signs of the virus to understand the early steps of a new virus entering humans. The goal is to learn about the risks and how these viruses behave, not to treat or cure anyone.
