First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if adding a healthy donor fecal transplant to standard immunotherapy could help people with advanced melanoma that stopped responding to PD-1 drugs. It was designed for adults with cutaneous or unknown primary melanoma, but was withdrawn before any participants enrolled. The approach was based on the idea that gut bacteria can influence how well the immune system fights cancer.
