Gut bug battle: poop transplants, probiotics, or diet to fight superbugs?
NCT ID NCT07094984
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to clear dangerous antibiotic-resistant bacteria from people's intestines. Researchers will compare three approaches: a fecal transplant (receiving processed stool from a healthy donor), a course of probiotic supplements, or following a special diet designed to promote healthy gut bacteria. The goal is to reduce the risk these 'superbugs' pose to individuals and help address the global antibiotic resistance crisis.
