Poop pills fight superbug: capsules aim to stop recurring infections
NCT ID NCT07458984
Summary
This study tests whether oral capsules containing healthy donor stool (fecal microbiota transplant or FMT) can prevent recurrent C. diff infections better than placebo capsules. It will involve 76 adults who have had at least two C. diff infections. Researchers will track whether infections return within 12 weeks and monitor side effects to see if this approach is safe and effective.
