Scientists shine light on hidden inflammation in rare genetic disease
NCT ID NCT07439341
Summary
This study aims to understand ongoing inflammation in people with Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF), a genetic condition causing painful flare-ups. Researchers will use a painless light scan on the skin to measure certain molecules linked to long-term inflammation and compare them to a blood test score in 150 participants. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a treatment, by comparing FMF patients to healthy volunteers.
